Frequent Visitors is a weekly newsletter created to share the things we (over at Frequent Practice) have enjoyed visiting each week. Sometimes related to design, reads, and creativity. Sometimes related to anything else.
This Week’s Visits:
⑴ Missy’s This n That—an exceptional bar run by some of the most thoughtful folks with outstanding taste. Everything from the music to the glassware (and of course the drinks + snacks) is curated to a tee, making it an un(missy)able spot to visit.
(Thank you for the share Z.H.🫒)
⑵ Never not visiting the work of Jack Davison, a beloved London Boy (along with our other favourite London boy, Jack Self). This week’s emphasis has been on his ‘The Water Bearer’ series, but we strongly encourage getting lost in all his photographs.
⑶ The new HBO max comedy series, Minx, featuring editorial design by none other than Elizabeth Goodspeed & the Pentagram team! Elizabeth sums it up perfectly by describing the project as “such a fun culmination of my many interests (’70s publications, erotica, Jake Johnson...)” Couldn’t agree more.
⑷ On a slightly less fun and sexy note, here are 9 ways to imagine the wealth of Jeff Bezos created by the brilliant data journalist Mona Chalabi for the NYT Magazine. (Here’s a snippet of the project on IG)
⑸ The Skirt Chronicles, the Paris based publication exploring ‘literature, fashion, culture and beyond’. With as much attention paid to the written word as the photography, it is a complete delight to peruse + admire. If you’re looking for a fun spiral to dive into, I have enjoyed visiting all the stockists listed on their site (an abundance of great spots to be discovered). Picked up a few issues at our favourite neighbourhood spot.
⑹ Would love to visit the “Chateau Le Bounce” from LV SS20 on view at the "Coming of Age" exhibit at the Fondation Louis Vuitton from the angels at Playlab 🕊️
That’s it for this week! Thank you for reading and we hope you enjoyed your visit :) We love having visitors as much as we love being them, so it would mean the world if you shared this newsletter with someone you think might enjoy it!
As always, we’d love to hear your thoughts (on the Severance finale, this newsletter, Jack Johnson with a beard, etc.) + learn about some of your favourite finds by reading + responding to all of your replies to this email!
