five things i’m into right now
by haneu
Hi, I’m Haneu and welcome to a little snippet of me – if i’m not at the studio working on my ceramics, I’m out and about pondering about things as such. I hope that whether you find newness or familiarity within these five things, you feel a sense of wonder and connection in reading this today.
Oh, crisp fall
When the heat starts to fade and we slow down, the air becomes crisp. The wind whispers sweet notes of falling leaves. It’s the subtle in-between moments as the season changes that make me stop and stare. Nature is reminding us that nothing lasts forever, yet there is a certain beauty and grace to this. Let it flow and take a deep breath.
Recently I have been winding down with classical music. It has a way of easing me down from my hectic schedule. I found this song through an amomento playlist that has been keeping me well balanced and paced. Somehow it draws me in with soothing notes while being evocative at the same time.
Butter
I love indulging in a decadent butter. Recently, I stumbled upon some Isigny Ste Mere and it is truly worth spreading the word. Smooth and creamy with the perfect ratio of savoury. Smear a dollop on some fresh sourdough from the local bakery and i guarantee it to be divine.
TÁR
Most memorable and distinct movie I have watched this year. There were no filler moments, every aspect and frame of the movie was thoughtfully considered. The deafening silence, contrast lighting, body movement, acute cinematography, all moved with intention. Most notably, Cate Blanchett's outfits were all styled so effortlessly yet with such intention.
Naoya Hatakeyama
During my visit to Montreal I had the pleasure to view the work of Naoya Hatakeyama. He was part of a photography exhibit at the CCA, where some of his work from ‘Kesengawa’ was displayed. His work focuses on natural landscape elements that evoke both powerful yet tranquil moments. There is tension that can be felt from the photos, as he explores the relationship between nature and the built environment.
Thank you for reading and we hope you enjoyed your visit! Haneu, this little list is such a treasure. Thank you for sharing your recent visits with us 💌
I’m so looking forward to rewatching Tár while indulging in some decadent butter.
Until our next visit,
Sasha
