A few recent visits
The Kronenhalle in Zürich
The restaurant/bar/art gallery of my dreams. In 1924, Hulda Zumsteg and her husband took over a derelict hotel and turned it into what the Kronenhalle continues to be today: a meeting place where the food is “as outstanding as it is down-to-earth”. Plus, the restaurant also happens to be home to an art collection that rivals a museum.
Beginning with artworks from her son’s collection, the walls of the building began to fill up with museum-quality works. Over the years, countless works were personally dedicated to Hulda or her son, Gustav, for their incredible hospitality over the years.
I will be feasting my eyes on these articles until I have the opportunity to visit!!!
The only and only. Photographed by the inimitable Juergen Teller for Loewe’s latest campaign.
Cooking corner (etc.)
Recently I’ve been dreaming about Frederick and Mae’s confetti cutting boards (aren’t they ROCKIN!!!!) and now, in collaboration with the company behind my favourite smoked mackerel, they’ve launched The Tinned Fish Serving Set:
Meanwhile, Apartamento has published their 8th cookbook featuring illustrations from an old FV fav—Olga Prader. PLUS, they are offering a special edition of the Fusilli folding cookbook stand by Michael Marriott.
A stunningly beautiful debut album
Composed by the brilliant Megan Perry Fisher.
A perfect album to listen to while writing, reading, working, yearning, or daydreaming.
Men of the Year
One of British GQ’s Men of the Year cover stars is none other than boygenius.

“Boygenius will eat you alive.” —GQ’s Men of the Year
Here are two sublime, hot off the press articles on the Boys of the Year. Live laugh love.
