No. 50
Long time no see!!! Catching up with my beloved visitors, a flip book for climate change, hot directors, more butter, and even more books.
Frequent Visitors is a weekly (monthly…. semi annual…) newsletter created to share a thoughtful selection of our favourite visits—both online and off—curated by friends, not algorithms.
Oh my goodness, hi, hello, how are you?! I have not forgotten about you and thank YOU for not forgetting about FV🔆
BACK TO IT!!!
Recent (more or less) Visits
Bites, Sights, and Sounds in Copenhagen
Numerous dreams came true during a trip to Copenhagen this Spring, including:
A visit to Apollo Bar by Frederik Bille Brahe for the butter clouds of my dreams.
A stop by the beautiful New Mags designed by Norm Architects.
Highballs and high fidelity at bird, surrounded by flos lighting.
The latest and greatest from A24’s publishing mastermind is HOT.
How Directors Dress uses clothing to tell exciting new stories about directors, their lives, their movies, and the times in which they were made.
A round of applause for Second Hand.
Second Hand transforms one of Jesse Reed’s beloved hobbies into a lovely new book published by Vernacular. Filled with snapshots of book covers found in used bookshops around the world, SH documents a forgotten history of graphic design and sheds a light on the unsung heroes of the craft.
Flip book for climate action
🌳 Twins on a Farm is an interactive FLIP BOOK seeking to rethink mediums for action presented in environmental education. How rockstar is this!! Designed and developed by the one and only Cotton.
What better way to spend a layover than to zip into the city for magazines. Notable swipes include (1) a hot off the press mag exploring queer nightlife in Amsterdam, (2) an issue dedicated to language’s basic material: the letter, and (3) the SECOND ISSUE of the inimitable literary magazine, INQUE.
Lastly, I’m still thinking about Jodi and Abby’s wedding and cigarettes on gorgeous little plates. This has me pondering, what other items should we be putting on pretty little plates (like this, or this!!!) at dinner parties?
Thank you for reading + I hope you enjoyed your visit!
